Welcome to today's episode of Reflective Hour with Tammy Toney-Butler. But we all know who the real host of this show is, and that's Christ. Holy Spirit, come have your way in this time that we have together. May they see you and not me. May they hear you and not me. May they have spiritual ears to hear and eyes to see the truth. May the seeds planted fall on fertile soil and your will be done in and through me as I spread your light of truth to a world in desperate need of clarity, wisdom, strength, understanding, and above all else, unshakable faith. Help them, Father, as they process the words. Let them penetrate bone and marrow and enter into their hearts to replace any seeds that have been planted by the enemy. In the mighty name of your son, Lord Jesus, we pray. Amen. Thank you for tuning in to today's episode of Reflective Hour. Father placed on my heart a burden to come forward and to do this episode. The Holy Spirit inspired the PowerPoint. And is now giving me the strength to talk about something that most would shy away from. And that's hate. The title of this episode is a train of hate. Are you on that train? Is it guiding your decisions? Are you causing people to get on that train? and it's leading them to their destruction. How do you know? As a follower of Christ, how do you know this is the way walk in it? How do you know that a spiritual leader you trust is walking in that direction, that narrow path of righteousness for his name's sake? Do we lean on our own understanding or do we follow what the word of God says? Well, he will guide us into all truth by way of his Holy Spirit. We have to be very careful about trusting in leaders and others above Christ. There's only one Messiah. There's only one. And nobody gets to the Father but through the Son. We are not to idolize humans. We are not to make them gods of this world. We are to follow our way into all truth by way of the Holy Spirit and His Word. So let's look at His Word. Let's find a roadmap. that points us in the right direction, what we should do as followers of Christ. Many of you are uncertain after this past election. If you heard God right, if you're being led by faith or by feelings, you're torn, you're not sure. The enemy has tried to come in and shake your faith, tried to get you to doubt. Well, maybe I didn't hear the Holy Spirit right in the voting booth. All these things creep in. What am I to believe? Which way am I to go? I know I serve God. I know I'm a Christian. Let's seek the meaning of that, what that looks like so that we won't be deceived, that we will know this is the way walk in it and that we will have peace no matter who's leading us in the government sector, in our houses of worship, in our homes, our communities, because there's only one leader and that's Abba Father, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, our precious Lord Jesus, the Father of our precious Lord Jesus. We are led by the Holy Spirit. We rely on faith and not feelings. And that's what today's episode is about, is showing the light and love of Jesus to a world that's already filled with so much hate, disunity, and discord. We are called to be the bearers of light. What does that mean? We bring peace where there's calamity and chaos. Truth and clarity where there's confusion. Strength where there's weakness. Compassion, humility, and a presence of servitude. Jesus came as a king, but he even humbled himself and washed feet. As a leader, will you wash feet? As a leader, will you follow in Jesus' footsteps? Will you plant seeds of love and unity and not sow seeds of hate and discord among the brethren? Let's dive into God's word today and the PowerPoint that he had me build, the Holy Spirit. A Train of Hate. He had me in First John. I'll be reading out of First John as a new international version. This is First John three, four through six. Now remember, the scriptures are our roadmap, our guide, the word of God. And unite that with a relationship. so that you hear the whisper of the Holy Spirit. You are guided into all truth by that, by His voice, not your own. By peace and that stillness found in that relationship with Him. Everyone who sins breaks the law. In fact, sin is lawlessness. But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him. Dear children, Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. The one who does what is sinful is out of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work. First John three, seven through eight out of the NIV. No one who is born of God will continue to sin because God's seed remains in them. They cannot go on sinning because they have been born of God. This is how we know who is the children of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are. Anyone who does not do what is right is not God's child, not God. nor is anyone who does not love their brother or their sister. That is so powerful. Let me read it again. First John three, nine through ten out of the NIV. Catch this. Let it sink in and penetrate bone and marrow. No one who is born of God will continue to sin because God's seed remains in them. They cannot go on sinning because they have been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are. Anyone who does not do what is right is not God's child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother or their sister. For this is the message you heard from the beginning. We should love one another. Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brothers were righteous. Do not be surprised, my brothers and sisters, if the world hates you. First John three, eleven through thirteen of the NIV. For this is the message you heard from the beginning. We should love one another. Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brothers were righteous. Do not be surprised by brothers and sisters if the world hates you. We know that we have passed from death to life because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death. Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer. And you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him. We know that we have passed from death to life because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death. Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer. And you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him. First John three, sixteen to seventeen NIV. This is how we know what love is. jesus christ laid down his life for us and we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters if anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them how can the love of god be in that person This is how we know what love is. Jesus Christ laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need, but has no pity on them, how could the love of God be in that person? First John three, eighteen out of the NIV. Dear children, let us not love with words or speech, but with actions and in truth. Dear children, let us not love with words or speech, but with actions and in truth. That is the PowerPoint that I had for you today that the Holy Spirit wanted me to create about a train of hate, a train of hate. In our past, as Americans, We have seen seeds of hate sown in other countries and even in our own. We've seen them penetrate and hurt our brothers and sisters. And you ask yourself, what does the word of God teach you? Well, we know now because we have a roadmap. We have to be very careful that we don't enter in to sin. There can be hidden sins in our heart that others don't see like anger, lust, greed, and envy. Those hidden sins can destroy us as a nation, as a world. They can cause strife, disunity. They can lead to us even questioning our faith because the devil tries to come to kill still and destroy and distract. He wants to deceive you that maybe you didn't hear God, that maybe you're not what you are. Who you think you are. Maybe your faith is not as strong as you thought. Because seeds of hate have been sown that lead you to question who you are and whose you are. But you don't need to question. You need to realize Jesus is on the throne. Jesus Christ came to give us life. abundant life. Remember, many saw him or wanted to see him as this military leader that was going to come and force his way to achieve an outcome that they thought in their flesh was the outcome. and was the way the kingdom of God should be established on earth as it is in heaven. But remember, Jesus did not come that way. He came to lay down his life for all of us who are sinners and fall short of the glory of the Lord. He did not come to condemn us, but to set us free, to lead us towards a path of abundant life in him, As followers of Christ, yes, Jesus suffered for us. We may suffer as we carry the gospel of truth that's built on the cornerstone, the foundation, which is love. It is not hate. If there is hate at your core, you need to question if you are truly following God. true, pure Christianity at its core. Because there is no fear in perfect love. Perfect love casts out all fear. There is no doubt but power of love in a sound mind. Don't question. Turn towards the light in this hour. The Lord wanted me to read out of James and to point out a passage of scripture in James and to read from it. And I will remove PowerPoint now. He took me to James two and its title. Now I'm going to be reading out of the New Living Translation. And it starts with a warning against prejudice. My dear brothers and sisters, how can you claim to have faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ if you favor some people over others? For example, suppose someone comes into your meeting dressed in fancy clothes. and expensive jewelry, and another comes in who is poor and dressed in dirty clothes. If you give special attention and a good seat to the rich person, but you say to the poor one, you can stand over there or else sit on the floor. Well, doesn't this discrimination show that your judgments are guided by evil motives? Listen to me, dear brothers and sisters. Hasn't God chosen the poor in this world to be rich in faith? Aren't they the ones who will inherit the kingdom he promised to those who love him? But you dishonor the poor. Isn't it the rich who oppress you and drag you into court? Aren't they the ones who slander Jesus Christ, whose noble name you bear? Yes, indeed, it is good when you obey the royal law. as found in the scriptures, love your neighbor as yourself. But if you favor some people over others, you're committing a sin. You are guilty of breaking the law. For the person who keeps all of the laws except one is as guilty as a person who has broken all of God's laws. For the same God who said you must not commit adultery also said you must not murder. So if you murder someone but do not commit adultery, you've still broken the law. So whatever you say or whatever you do, remember that you will be judged by the law that sets you free. There will be no mercy for those who have not shown mercy to others. But if you have been merciful, God will be merciful when he judges you. And then it goes on, the next section's title, Faith Without Good Deeds is Dead. What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don't show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone? Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, and you say goodbye and have a good day, stay warm and eat well. But then you don't give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do? So you see, faith by itself isn't enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless. Now someone may argue, some people have faith, others have good deeds. But I say, how can you show me your faith if you don't have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds. You say you have faith for you believe that there is one God. Good for you. Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. How foolish! Can't you see that faith without good deeds is useless? Don't you remember that our ancestor Abraham was shown to be right with God by his actions when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see his faith and his actions work together. His actions made his faith complete. And so it happened, just as the scriptures say. Abraham believed God and God counted him as righteous because of his faith. He was even called the friend of God. So you see, we are shown to be right with God by what we do, not by faith alone. Rahab the prostitute is another example. She was shown to be right with God by her actions when she hid those messengers and sent them safely away by a different road. Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good works. And he wanted me to read that to you. Then Father brought me to isaiah and this one is isaiah he took me to isaiah and I'm reading out of the king james version the life application study bible it's god promises compassion on israel What was powerful to me that was sticking out was this whole section, this area of the word of God, this chapter in this book of Isaiah, spoke of pride and the pride of life. And we have to be very careful that we don't enter into sinful unions and place ourselves on demonic altars as we long for greed and power and lust after the things of this world by the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye and the pride of life. We are not to have materialism as a guide. We are not to look to the world and the world's economy to save us, nor anyone that represents that and comes as a bearer of light in a time of darkness, whether it's a dark economic time, whether there's a spiritual famine, whether there's plagues or discord. We are to only look to God, put the kingdom first and all else shall be given unto you. You were to look to faith in the creator, not into an individual, not making them above the law, whether that's a spiritual law, whether that's an earthly law, we are to follow what God says and what the word of God says. We're not to show prejudice. We're not to show hate. We're not to sow seeds of hate. We are to bring unity, strength. Strengthen our brothers and sisters in the faith. Fight the good fight of faith. That is what we are to do. We are to fight the good fight of faith. And where do we learn about fighting the good fight of faith? Second Timothy four, seven to eight out of the NIV. I fought the good fight. I finished the race. I've kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, the Lord is the righteous judge will award to me on that day. And not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. He is the judge. In our history, Many people have done things under the guise of Christianity. That's how the Nazis destroyed or attempted to destroy an entire race of people. They were fed on hate and propaganda, drawing from the times. leading the people astray. Who's leading you? Are you being led down a pathway towards hate and destruction that leads to disseminating a false religious belief? Because the only truth that we can go by is the word of God, scriptures. People will fail us. Leaders come and go. Kings come and go. But Christ remains and the kingdom of God remains. It is our steadfast anchor in any storm, no matter what we face, no matter the dark times we face. We, as a true church, a purified bride, a body of believers, we turn to the Lord and we use our sword, which is the word of God, to fight our battles. For we don't wrestle against flesh, but powers and principalities, evil in high places. We don't look to the person. We look to the spirit behind the person. We are to wage war with our sword of the spirit, ensuring that we win every battle and that we are victorious in Christ Jesus. Evil does not win. Hate does not win. The love of Jesus wins. The love of Jesus wins. It brings us into all truth. It shows us how to live. It helps us to ensure that we are following the creator. His roadmap for successful living, as long as we partner it with a relationship with him. We need to hear the whisper like never before. We need to be able to discern the truth. Discern the truth without judgment, without preconceived bias or malice. Remember, we are to love our brothers and sisters. Love our neighbors as ourselves. Lean on God and not our own understanding. Remember, Jesus had to seek asylum in another country or another place, depending. There's a little controversy around that as to which way he, you know, where he went. Did he technically leave and go to another country? That's not the point. The point is he sought safety and refuge in a time of need, his parents, to save him. To save him. They had to leave their homeland and seek out a better life for a period of time. Away from an evil man that was killing innocent children. Parents will do anything to protect their children. Anything. Even including grabbing them up and crossing a border with them. We aren't to judge. We are to sow seeds of love for our fellow man and our brethren, not seeds of hate. Because that's not the Christianity that I know. That's not the God I know. That's not the Lord Jesus I serve, a Jesus of hate. There is no hate here. in perfect love as we saw evidenced by the scriptures that we just read. We have to follow the spirit of truth, the infallible word of God like never before. Letting it anchor us, drawing strength from the wellspring of living water that will never run dry. knowing that we know this is the way walking, not being afraid to stand up in the face of evil and claiming our victory as the servants of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have the victory. Let's refuse to partner with hate. It has no place in our society. It has no place in our world. It does not come from God. It doesn't come from Lord Jesus. It doesn't come from a good place. It comes from evil. If you want to see America be the beacon of hope and light and truth in a dark world, don't sow seeds of hate. Instead, sow seeds of love. And let's guide a world into all truth. Into a revival and a spiritual awakening that we've never seen before. Because he's coming. He's coming for his bride. We need to be ready. Purified. Without compromise or blemish. Standing firm in this moment. In this hour. Reflecting his light and truth. To a dark world. That's how we know. We're following. The true gospel of Jesus Christ. That is all he has for you today. May this message. Break off the chain of fear. May we loose. The soul tie. The ties to a spirit of fear. and replace it with power, love, and a sound mind. May you no longer be in the bondage of fear. We rebuke the spirit of fear and cast it off of you. We break any lies and loose any partnerships with the evil and the demonic. We call forth love, truth, wisdom. We replace Seeds of anger and hate with seeds of love and joy and peace. As the presence of the Lord descends upon you now, you have such peace in the middle of the storm, knowing that you know that you know that he has you. He'll never leave you nor forsake you. And remember, it's in the darkness that His light shines bright. Keep the faith. Stay strong. And remember, He loves you and I love you. I'm Tammy Toney- Butler of Reflective Hour.
