Welcome to today's episode of Reflective Hour with Tammy Toney-Butler. I'm your host, but we all know who the host of this show is, and that's Christ. Grab your coffee, grab your tea, and let's take time to reflect together, to journey along a path of wholeness. one episode at a time. Many of you know my story. I'm a survivor of child sex trafficking. It was only when I wrote an article published in the National Library of Medicine on human trafficking did I realize that my mother would have been considered to be my trafficker. And what happened to me was human trafficking. I lost my father to suicide. He was a police officer. He died by his own hand. and we buried him on Father's Day when I was around fifteen. Childhood trauma defined my early years, but it doesn't define me now, nor does it define you. You get to have abundant life. You get to have wholeness and peace and break into who God's called you to be this season. is your year. It's a year of hope. It's a year of abundance, of love, of peace, of joy. I don't want you to despair. I don't want you to fear. I don't want you to focus on the world and all the chaos in the world. I want you to focus on my voice. I want you to focus on what the Lord has to say. to you today during this time that we have together. Many of you have asked, when do you do your reflective hour episodes? Well, I do them when the Holy Spirit prompts me to. Because even if the ninety-nine are safe, He always goes after the one. And it's always in His perfect timing. Thank you to our viewers. who are listening to us or watching us from all over the world, we thank you. Remember to like and subscribe to this episode. And that way you will be notified when we do go live. Holy Spirit, we just ask that you come and have your way in this time that we have together. Lord Jesus, may they see you and not me. open ears to hear and spiritual eyes to see and may the peace that surpasses all understanding guide them into all truth this day and the days ahead and even though we're faced with darkness all around we get to be the light help me father to shine your light in your truth today through this episode, your episode, may I reflect your goodness, your love, and your mercy to them as you flow through me like living water. In the mighty name of your precious son, Lord Jesus, we pray, Abba, Father. Thank you. Amen. Now, Father, placed on my heart today something that was powerful to me. Downloaded it fresh, so I just want to Look at this and read a little bit. How many of you have a spirit of despair? You're feeling hopeless and lost, not sure which way to turn. We're going to look at scripture today to guide us. It's going to guide us into all truth. We're going to look at Psalm twenty nine. I'm going to read that aloud out of the New Living Translation. This is what Father laid on my heart and he especially laid on my heart. Psalm twenty nine eleven. Psalm twenty nine eleven says the Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace. That's a promise. You get to speak that over your life every day. The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace. Now that's Psalm twenty nine eleven. Let's look at Psalm. Actually, let's look at Jeremiah twenty nine eleven. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Wow. So that's Jeremiah, and then Psalm . You can remember those two and you can recite them every day and hold onto them. You will get through these challenging times. I also want to read Psalm . Oh Lord, I've come to you for protection. Don't let me be disgraced. Save me, for you do what is right. Turn your ear to listen to me. Rescue me quickly. Be my rock of protection, a fortress where I will be safe. You are my rock and my fortress. For the honor of your name, lead me out of this danger. He's our rock. He's our fortress. He's our tower of strength. We're not going to get through this season in our own strength. We're going to get through it in his. For the honor of your name, lead me out of this danger. Pull me from the trap my enemy set for me, for I find protection in you alone. Seek first the kingdom of God and all else shall be given unto you. It doesn't matter who's on top. the throne of the United States, who's on the throne of England. It doesn't matter who's the leader. It doesn't matter who's in power. God is in charge and God is the only one on the throne. Not man, but God, Abba Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He's on the throne. He's in charge. Don't think that man's in charge. He is not. Only God. Pull me from the trap my enemy set for me, for I find protection in you alone. I entrust my spirit into your hand. Wow. Rescue me, Lord, for you are a faithful God. He will never leave us nor forsake us. He is a good father. I hate those who worship worthless idols. I trust in the Lord. I will be glad and rejoice in your unfailing love for you have seen my troubles and you care about the anguish of my soul. How many are you feeling anguish in your soul right now? Hopeless, full of despair, full of fear. I rebuke that. There is no fear in perfect love. Perfect love casts out all fear. It gives us power, love, and a sound mind. You will not have a spirit of despair. It is not your portion. You will have a spirit of joy. You will have hope. You will have peace. You will have love. You will have abundant life in twenty twenty five or you will walk as a child of the light, not a child of the dark. You've been translated into the kingdom of light and you will do it in the strength of almighty God. Lord Jesus, by way of this Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, the Spirit of truth that is in us as believers. From the moment we are saved and believe on Lord Jesus Christ, then His Holy Spirit can come live inside of us. We just have to surrender, partner with God and say, you know what? I've come to the end of myself. I've come to the end of myself. I can't make it happen. I can't control anything. But what I can do is surrender to your will for my life and not my own. Holy Spirit, come live inside of me. Make me new from the inside out. Have freedom in the breath of the Holy Spirit. As the Holy Spirit enters you, have freedom. It's only one breath away. Surrender. Ask the Holy Spirit to live inside of you. Partner with your human spirit. Bring your human spirit under submission so that Christ in you brings you into all truth, guides you to true north so you don't look right, you don't look left, you don't dash your foot against a stone. Just follow God. He's healing you now. He's healing you now. We are all one in spirit. There's no separation. Doesn't matter where you are in the world. I'm with you right now, comforting you. The balm, the healing balm of the blood of Lord Jesus is comforting you right now. Let's reflect on his goodness. Let's keep reading. I will be glad and rejoice in your unfailing love, for you have seen my troubles and you care about the anguish of my soul. You have not handed me over to my enemies, but have set me in a safe place. Many of you want a safe place. For some of you, that word can be triggering. But no, reflective hour, here with me, reflective spaces ministry, that's a safe place you can come to. Don't hesitate to reach out to us via email. We answer your queries, your questions. I pray with you if you need praying. I lift you up. We're not going to get through this season alone. We must unify as believers, as the body of Christ, as the faithful remnant. We must come together. Walk towards that common goal of a purified bride, a church, that offers love and hope, not condemnation to those that come seeking healing, seeking a comforter, a deliverer. We are to show them Christ who loves, who loves. Doesn't matter our shortcomings. Doesn't matter the Merkin Meyer. Doesn't matter what we've done. We can ask for forgiveness. We can repent and turn towards God. He will walk us into all truth. Once you receive the Holy Spirit, you're never the same because he changes you, molds you, transforms you layer by layer. That's the work of the cross. You get to walk in abundant life and he helps you. You do it in his strength, not yours. Christ left and ascended to the right side of the Father so that we could have the help or the Holy Spirit that is in us, never leaving us, never forsaking us. One breath away. Soak up that goodness. Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am in distress. Tears blur my eyes. Oh, you may sow in tears, but you're going to reap in joy. My body and soul are withering away. I am dying from grief. My years are shortened by sadness. Sin has drained my strength. I'm wasting away from within. I'm scorned by all my enemies and despised by my neighbors. Even my friends are afraid to come near me. When they see me on the street, they run the other way. I'm ignored as if I were dead, as if I were a broken pot. But we know what he does with broken vessels. He fills us up. He repairs us piece by piece. I've heard the many rumors about me and I'm surrounded by terror. My enemies conspire against me, plotting to take my life. But I'm trusting you, O Lord, saying you are my God. My future is in your hands. Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly. Let your favor shine on your servant and your unfailing love rescue me. Don't let me be disgraced, O Lord, for I call out to you for help. Let the wicked be disgraced. Let them lie silent in the grave. Silence their lying lips, those proud and arrogant lips that accuse the godly. How great is, making sure I'm continuing, yes, on thirty-one, okay. How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection. blessing them before the watching world. Wow, did you see that? That's a promise. That's a key to an open door. Grab hold of it. How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world. You hide them in the shelter of your presence. Remember Psalm safe from those who conspire against them. You shelter them in your presence, far from accusing tongues. We rebuke that spirit of witchcraft and cast it into the pit of hell. Praise the Lord, for he has shown me the wonders of his unfailing love. He kept me safe when my city was under attack. In panic, I cried out, I'm cut off from the Lord, but you heard my cry for mercy and answered my call for help. He hears your cries. He will answer you. Love the Lord, all you godly ones, for the Lord protects those who are loyal to him. Think about that. The Lord protects those who are loyal to him. Don't put your trust in man. You put your trust in God. But he harshly punishes the arrogant. So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the Lord. Put your hope in the Lord. Wow. That is amazing. That's amazing. I just want to sit here for a minute and just sort of listen and see which direction he wants me to go in now. So just rest in his peace as I just pause because you need to practice the pause. You need to practice being still. You need to practice hearing the whisper of the Holy Spirit who guides us into all truth. I'm going to read now out of the Bible Promises book. I love this book. It's Bible Promises for You, the New International Version. Zondervan puts it out. I love it. I hand it out in my healing ministry. It's almost like a go-to to me. It's, and I just, because I just have to share this with you. The table of contents is for people like us. Okay. First of all, it says every promise has been fulfilled. Not one has failed. Joshua, twenty three, fourteen. But then the table of contents. Okay. Answered prayer. And it tells you where to go. Belief, blessings, children of God, compassion, courage, discipleship. If you need faith, If you need freedom, if you need grace, many of us find ourselves in situations where we need grace, right? It's almost like I need grace. Okay, turn to these scriptures. So today I want to turn to the strength, one fifty four to one fifty five. So when you're feeling weak, remember, he's strong. So you go to him, he will get you through. So get out the book, the Bible promises book. Those of you that have it, that I've given it to as I've, as I've traveled all around, um, on the streets evangelizing, make sure that you grab it. Make sure that you recite it. Start in the morning by reading from it, declaring these scriptures out loud. Speak the word of God. It heals. God spoke the world into existence. There's power in the spoken word of God. It is your sword. Use it this season. You're going to need it for the spiritual warfare is great. So I'm reading out of the strength. Isaiah forty one ten. Do not fear for I'm with you. Do not be dismayed for I'm your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. That's a promise. Grab hold. I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Philippians four thirteen. Second Corinthians twelve nine. But Jesus said to me, my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in your weakness. Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses so that Christ's power may rest on me. Psalm seventy three twenty six. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Healing's your portion. Abundant life's your portion. Poverty's not your portion. Fear's not your portion. Despair is not your portion. Don't listen to it. Turn off the television. Don't scroll through social media wanting to feel better. It only makes you more anxious. Get into the word of God. In this season, be very, very careful. What you let go in your ear gate and your eye gate, be very, very careful. The world wants you to fear. It wants you to look to a leader to save you. The only leader that will save you is Lord Jesus Christ by way of the Holy Spirit, spirit and truth. Abba Father sent his son to die on the cross so we could live. That's who we put our hope in, the cross, the blood of Jesus, the power of the cross, the love that knowing Jesus brings. Love heals. Love transforms. Love breaks the yoke of bondage and the strongholds off your life. Love. It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer. He causes me to stand on the heights. Second Samuel, twenty two, thirty three to thirty four. It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer. He causes me to stand on the heights. He gives you sure footing. Ezekiel, thirty four, sixteen. Don't we love Ezekiel? I will search for the lost and bring back the strays. I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak, but the sleek and the strong I'll destroy. I will shepherd the flock with justice. Wow. The Lord gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Isaiah forty twenty nine. The Lord gives strength to his people. The Lord blesses his people with peace. Psalm twenty nine eleven. Wow. That's how we started. The Lord is my strength and my defense. He has become my salvation. He is my God and I will praise him. My father's God and I will exalt him. Exodus fifteen two. Pull out your sword this season. Let God guide you. Let scripture be used to comfort, to heal. But remember. God spoke the world into existence. He's speaking to you, the Holy Spirit. But are you still enough to listen? Or are you being distracted by the devil? Because the devil comes to kill, steal, destroy, and distract and get you off course, blow you off course. But this season, you're not going to be blown off course because you have the Holy Spirit. He's going to guide you into all truth. You're going to be still. You're going to listen. You're going to meditate on the promises of his word. His goodness, his mercy shall follow you. All the days of your life and you'll dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever. Amen. Hope. Do not, do not let desperation and despair set in or hopelessness. Draw from hope. Let the peace that you're feeling right now, that's the Holy Spirit comforting you where you are. He's meeting you where you are right now in your infirmity. We have a God that knows about our infirmities. Look what Jesus endured on the cross. He endured so much so that we could let go of shame, of fear, of regret, of self-loathing, of addiction. You'll break it this season, not in your strength, but in his. Abundant life is your portion. Freedom is a breath away. It's a breath away. The breath of the Holy Spirit. The wind. Enjoy this season. Let it strengthen you. Let it challenge you. Let it bring forth endurance. Enduring faith. Don't run from it. Embrace it. Use your believer's authority to calm the storms in your life. You have authority. The devil's under your feet, remember? He's under your feet. We get to have what we say. We get to have what we say. It's your year. Don't let people fool you. Rest. Rest. Rest in God. That's what faith is for. It's for times like this. You're feeling the weight of the decisions that some of you made. There's no condemnation. Maybe you turned the wrong way. Turn back. Follow Jesus. Follow me on Reflective Hour, Reflective Spaces Ministry. Let God guide you this season. If you want more, purchase our books on Amazon. Our ministry is free. Everything we do is free. And none of us have a salary. We're all volunteers. Because everything we put back out there, everything we put back out there, I sold everything to follow Jesus. I live in a five hundred and seventy six square foot little tiny park model house. And that includes a front porch. And very few possessions. They could probably fit in my ministry van. But I'm the richest woman in the world. Because I have freedom. I have peace. I sleep like a baby. Doesn't matter the storms because I speak to those storms. I don't let them come near my dwelling. I root myself in the promises of God's word. In faith. You can't draw from your strength. Draw from his. Draw from mine. Mine is him working through me. I'm nothing. I'm filthy rags. Christ redeemed me. Set me free. Everything I am is because of him. Everything I have is because of him. Purchased my memoir, which is his. I recommend you do that first when you know that you know that you know there is a God. That's on Kindle. It's on Amazon. And then the workbook, the trauma workbook, is a two-week journal that, again, the Lord, I didn't do it. He did. It's a journaling journal to wholeness. I even forgot the name of it. It's a journeying journal to wholeness through the lens of faith. That's the second one. I recommend the first one, the memoir first. It empties you out and the other one fills you up. Go back and watch episode one, season one of Reflective Hour. Check out Reflective Spaces Ministry YouTube podcast channel. There's a trauma responsive pulpit series. There's a trauma bonding one. Shows you the chains in the brain and how we can be bound by strongholds and lies of the past. Use these resources. to step into wholeness and abundant life this season and break every stronghold of your life. I didn't build any of this on my own strength. The Holy Spirit did. All this is His. It's for you. He cares about you. He loves you. I love you. And even if the nine and nine are safe, He goes after the one. Well, I'm coming after you today. I want you to experience the freedom and the peace that I have. Draw from the wellspring of living water that never runs dry. Drink from that well. Eat of the bread of life. I know you can do it. I'm rooting for you. He's rooting for you. He's rooting for you. He's got you. He's got you. Don't forget to like and subscribe. Don't forget to like and subscribe. That helps us. It helps us spread the word, spread the news. I don't understand it all. I don't try to. I just trust in God. Let him sort it all out. But remember, he loves you, and I love you. He loves you and I love you. God bless you. Keep you. Lord Jesus, be within this day. Guide them into all truth. Help them. Help them to surrender that addiction to you, that fear to you. Help them, Father. Your sheep need help, Father. They're hurting. They're hurting, Father. And you're a good Father. I pray for them to have peace now, Father. To have the provision they need, the strength they need, the open doors they need open, that no man can shut. We praise you. We glorify you. We exalt you. We worship you in spirit and truth. Father, we do all this in the name of your precious son, Lord Jesus. By way of the Holy Spirit, we got it into all truth. Thank you, Father. You're a good father. We praise you. We praise you now in the middle of the storm because you got us tucked under your wing. There's no fear in perfect love. Thank you, Father. In the mighty name of your precious son, I pray. Amen. God bless you guys. Keep you And I'll see you soon.
