Sacrificial Altars
What would it contain if you were bringing a sacrifice to the altar of God's heart? Ask yourself if your words and actions are pleasing to the Lord. Because everything you speak and do is being examined by the Lord.
Is your sacrifice a sweet aroma pleasing to the Lord? Or is it pleasing to satan? Who are you sacrificing to? Even unknowingly?
A demonic or holy altar? Exchange the word altar for heart when referring to a sacrifice to God. Is it full of love, joy, peace, fairness, meekness, and humility, or is it full of pride, ego, bitterness, unforgiveness, hate, discrimination, oppression, guilt, shame, self-promotion, or self-indulgence?
Those last things satan searches for in the hearts of man, he uses them as a gateway to temptation and gains entry into the minds of men, ultimately controlling them.
Does the Light of God's Word guide you? The Light of His holy presence? The experiential love from walking with Him daily through His Holy Spirit? His magnificence is displayed in His creation by way of nature.
Or are you guided into dark hotel rooms, alleyways, or prisons through your words, actions, or deeds? Your sacrifices (altars)?
Are you speaking words of love (sacrifices on the altar of God's heart), or are you speaking curses, sacrificing to satan?
Analyze yourself today. Shine a mirror into your soul (mind, will, emotions) before you set out to judge another this day.
When you see someone, look at them as if they have been brought along your path to edify them, build them up, and show them the love and Light of Jesus. Since you are a living sacrifice on the altar of God's heart.
You are the Living Word walking this earth, used to build, create, lose, set free, liberate, convert, and convict.
Will you be the Light? Will you be the candlestick that brings the good news, the Gospel, to a dark world? Reflect on this today and more in this episode of Reflective Hour with Tammy Toney-Butler.

Open their spiritual eyes and ears to hear. Here we go. Let's jump into this episode of Reflective Hour. What would it contain if you were bringing a sacrifice to the altar of God's heart? Ask yourself this. If your words and actions are pleasing to the Lord because everything you speak and do is being examined by the Lord. You are the living word walking this earth, used to build, create, set free, liberate, convert, and convict. Will you be the light? Will you be the candlestick that brings the good news, the gospel? to a dark world? Reflect on this today and more in this episode of Reflective Hour with Tammy Toney- Butler. That is what he had me scribe to lead me into this episode. And I want to start by reading scriptures that he has placed on my heart to read. And I want to read them. I'll be reading out of the Life Application Study Bible, the King James Version. And yes, that's things that you hear falling out of my Bible because I have so much crammed in it. I'm sure your Bibles look the same with notes everywhere. And the longer you've had them, I'm sure they're filled with sermon notes and various things. So I'm going to be reading Psalm nineteen. The heavens declare the glory of God. and the firmament sheweth his handiwork. Day after day, day unto day, I should say, uttered speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone and out throughout the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun. which is a bridegroom coming out of his chamber and rejoicing as a strong man to run a race. His going forth is from the end of heaven and his circuit unto the ends of it. And there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. The law of the Lord is perfect. converting the soul. The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart. The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever. The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold, sweeter also than honey and honeycomb. Moreover, by them is thy servant warned, and in keeping of them there is great reward. Who can understand his errors? Cleanse thou me from secret faults. Cleanse thou me from secret faults. I don't know about you, but I have to pray that daily. Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins. Let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be upright and shall be innocent from the great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight. Oh Lord, my strength. and my redeemer. Wow. And now I want to read Psalm twenty. The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble. The name of the God of Jacob defend thee. Send thee help from the sanctuary and strengthen thee out of Zion. Remember all thy offerings and accept thy burnt sacrifice, Selah. Grant thee according to thine own heart and fulfill all thy counsel. We will rejoice in thy salvation in the name of our God. We will set up our banners. The Lord fulfill all thy petitions. Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed. He will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of the right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses. but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. They are brought down and fallen, but we are risen and stand upright. Say, Lord, let the king hear us when we call. Wow, that is some powerful word. And then the Lord led me to Ephesians five, twenty six. And I'm reading out of the New Living Translation, Ephesians five, twenty six. To make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God's word. Let me start up at twenty five because I don't want to take this out of context. For husbands, this means love your wives just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her, talking about the church, to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God's word. Wasn't Jesus the living word? Didn't he come to cleanse, cleanse us, to wash us clean, to be the land sacrifice? His blood shed on Calvary washed us clean and brought us out of any condemnation of the law. He is our light, our bearer of truth in a dark world. He's our guide. He's our lamp. We're his candlesticks that shine bright. We are to carry the good news of the gospel to a dark and dying world. We are to be bearers of the light. We are to hold steadfast in truth. We are to speak words that build up. Not condemn and tear apart and destroy. Destroy. What do your words and actions say about you? Are they guiding you to the light? Are they guiding you into dark places? Places that bring heartache, sorrow, and lead to spiritual death, famine, depression, suicidal thoughts, binging, Who's guiding you? What's guiding you? What voice are you listening to? How do you know that it's the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, the Spirit of Christ, the Spirit of Truth that's guiding you? How do you know? How do you know? Let's look today at the reading some words out of a book that I really like and I do recommend. And I always want to give credit where credit's due. So it is by Kenneth E. Hagen, How You Can Be Led by the Spirit of God. Kenneth E. Hagen, How You Can Be Led by the Spirit of God. The Lord, the Holy Spirit brought me, even this morning, to chapter twenty... And on this book, it's on page ninety seven. And it's titled My Spirit, the Flesh or the Holy Spirit. And the scripture that I love that is quoted here is the spirit of man is the candle of the Lord. Proverbs twenty twenty seven. The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord. And I just want to read just a little bit as far as the Holy Spirit wants me to read. out of this powerful book that I recommend. You can find it on Amazon. You can find it at REMA Bible College and look up Kenneth E. Hagin. Someone might ask, how can I tell whether it is my own spirit or the Holy Spirit telling me to do something? The spirit of the man is the candle of the Lord. But it may just be me wanting to do it. Define your terms. If by me you mean the flesh, of course you cannot always obey the flesh. But if by me you mean the inward man, the real you, then it is all right to obey the inward man. Go ahead and do what he wants you to do. If your spirit is a new creature in Christ Jesus, and old things have passed away, and all things are become new, and your spirit has the life and nature of God in it, and the Holy Spirit in it, and your spirit is in fellowship with God, it is not going to tell you to do something that's not right. If you are a spirit-filled Christian, your inward man has the Holy Spirit in his fullness, not in a measure, but in his fullness, making his home in you. It is not the inward man of the Christian that wants to do wrong. It is the outward man. You ought to be able to tell whether it is the flesh wanting to do something or the spirit. Here is a text that has been a puzzle to many. First John three nine. Whosoever is born of God doeth not commit sin for his seed remaineth in him and he cannot sin because he is born of God. This is talking about the inward man. Physically, we are born of human parents and we partake of their nature. Spiritually, we are born of God and partake of his nature. God's nature is not the nature to do wrong. I've missed it a lot of times as a Christian, but my inward man did not sin. He didn't even agree with me when I did sin. He tried to get me not to do it. My heart wept because I sinned. I allowed my flesh to dominate and I missed it, but my spirit never did consent to it. God's seed is in my spirit. not in my flesh. If you continue to allow your flesh to dominate you, you will continue to miss it. If you continue to let your natural mind dominate you and do not get your mind renewed with the word, the cleansing of the word, the washing of the word, you will continue to miss it. And I want to again say that I was reading, How Can You Be Led by the Spirit of God? That's a book by Kenneth E. Hagen. And I read out of chapter twenty one, page ninety seven to ninety eight. Wow. As Christians. We have a choice. As believers. As the true church. the fateful remnant. Will we follow the world or will we follow Christ by way of His Holy Spirit? There's dark days ahead. We need to ask ourself, which way will we turn towards the light and love of Jesus or towards the world, system, and rules? Who will you follow? Will you be guided by the truth? Will your candlestick lit by the light of the word of God? Will you have oil in your lamp? Be restored, refreshed, renewed. by the Holy Spirit. That's the presence of the Lord, the glory of the Lord, that stillness, that peace right now that you are experiencing deep inside you, calming you, bringing you peace. That's his holy presence. It's reaching you now where you are. In the mirth, in the mire, in the doubt, the despair. And it's bringing you restoration, healing, light and truth. Showing you the way out of that addiction. That dark alley of despair. That dark alley of despair. that prison of your own making in your mind as you've cursed yourself with your own words, bringing death instead of life. But no more. Reach out for healing. Go to a meeting. Call a friend. Go to a local synagogue. Church, wherever you're trusted, wherever you need to go, he's guiding you. It's the inward knowing of where to go. Turn right, turn left. Don't go that way. Come back towards the light. This is the season that he's calling us to the light. to be the light, to paint the world we want to see and shine the love and light, hope, peace, joy that the gospel brings. It brings life, not death. It brings joy, no matter the circumstances. It knows you. meet you where you are. Build a relationship with Jesus this season, with the Holy Spirit. Let him guide you into all truth. Reflect on this today as you go about your daily routine and you have to make choices. Make sure You're on the right side of history when you make them. The right side of truth, inclusion, love, forgiveness, and be totally set free. Totally set free. That's what he has for you today. That's his message, his message of truth. As we shine a light on our inward man and see what we reflect to a world. God bless you and keep you this day and every day. May the light and love of Lord Jesus light your path. Direct your steps. Keep your lamp full of oil. God bless you and keep you. That's today's episode. That's what he has for you. Glory be to Jesus. Thank you. Thank you for tuning in. Bask in that peace. I never want to end this until he wants to end it. And right now someone is just being filled up. They are so depleted. They are so depressed. You are valuable. Your life is valuable. Don't take those pills. Don't do what you were thinking of doing. Seek help. Seek help. I don't know who this is for, but I'm getting call your sister. Call your sister, whomever this is for. Even though the ninety-nine are safe, he goes after the one. I'm merely his messenger. Follow him today. He's guiding you. He's leading you. God bless you and keep you. That's all he has for you today.
