Hello. Welcome to today's Daily Dose of Healing as part of our Reflective Hour podcast by Tammy Toney-Butler. I'm your host, but we all know who the host of this show is, and that's Christ. Holy Spirit, have your way in this time that we have together. As we speak your truth, as you heal, as you protect, as you bring your peace, as our comforter, you are everything to us, oh God. Help us to tether into you this day and find joy in the name of Jesus. Amen. Today is a difficult day for some. It's Mother's Day. That can remind people what they've lost. Whether it's the death of a loving mother or a mother that never could parent them the way they deserve to be parented, the way they deserve to be loved, as it talks about in Proverbs 4:3. For I too was once my father's son, tenderly loved as my mother's only child, tenderly loved. Wow. Some of us have never known that tender love from a mother. All we knew was pain and heartache, loss, being let down, rejected. For some, today can be a day of pain and loss and a reminder of what was or never could be. But I challenge you today as you seek healing, as you seek wholeness, as you seek closure, focus on the love of Jesus. Love as Jesus loves us. as he loved us to die on the cross for us. And every time we miss it and every time we call out to him, he has open arms ready to comfort us, for us to run to them and be embraced, protected, and he carries us. He carries the weight of it, the load. We only have to give it to him. But we forget that. We forget that. We try to do everything in our own strength. We try to get through the day in our own strength. It's too hard. The pain's too great. The wound is so raw. The feeling of loss of a mother that was a loving mother, a mother that was your best friend. How do you move past that? How do you move on? How do you get past that? But then you know that you can't do it in your own strength. You have to rely on Jesus. He helps us. He sees us. He gives us strength like the eagle. He renews us day by day, minute by minute. We only have to seek his truth and seek the cross. Just call on his name. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. Holy Spirit. Come help us. Holy Spirit today. Give us fresh oil. Holy Spirit. Oh yes. Let us draw from the wellspring of living water and find peace for today. Peace that surpasses all understanding. One moment in your presence changes everything. Help us. Help us. Help us. Help us to forgive. Help us to forget. Help us to move on. Help us to cherish the memories that we do have and focus on that instead of on the lack. Let's focus on the abundance. Instead of the lack, the darkness, today we focus on the light. We forgive where we need to forgive. We rejoice where we need to rejoice. And we turn to you, Lord Jesus, and give it all to you because you're in our boat. You're with us. in the fiery furnace. Help us today to show love and grace and mercy to those that we do have in our life. And let's focus on them and not on what we've lost. Let's focus on the light and not the dark. This is our year. It's our season. It's our moment. Let's step into it together. Let's weather this storm together, united as a community of believers, as a community of broken vessels in need of a savior. We need you, God. Lord Jesus, we need you. Holy Spirit, help us. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for helping us. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus. Rest in his peace today. Rest in his peace today. Rest in his peace today. For He knows all. He sees all. He's in it with you. You are not alone. We are not alone. When we have Christ, when we have His Holy Spirit, we are never, ever, ever alone. We seek Him. We seek His Kingdom. We seek His love. We seek His peace and His Glory.
