Hello, I'm Tammy Toney-Butler with Reflective Hour. I'm your host, but we all know who the host of this show is, and that's Christ. Holy Spirit, come have your way in this time that we have together. Reveal your truth. Let us draw strength from your wellspring of living water, never to hunger or thirst again because you're our bread of life. You're our sustainer, our redeemer, our comforter.

Help us to see you when you can't be seen through our misery, our doubt, our despair, our loneliness, helplessness, hopelessness, sorrow. the darkness that threatens to consume us be our light so we know the way out of the tunnel. The way out to freedom. The way out to freedom. Help us, oh God. Help us in the mighty name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

Today is a day of uncertainty for many. Darkness all around, political turmoil, wars, rumors of wars, unrest in our country.

What do you do? What do you do when the things you know, the routine no longer serves you, no longer is possible because of the walls that are crashing down all around you? What do you do when you have no hope? What do you do when you're lost? What do you do when you can't see it? A way out of the poverty you're in, the marriage that's abusive,

the loneliness in being single, the barren womb wanting a child. What do you do when you can't get through the next second without thinking of all you don't have, all you've lost,

all the walls that are crashing down around you. What do you do? You call out to God and you say, "Help me, Father. Help me, Jesus. I know you're in my boat. Even if I can't see you, and even if I have to go through this storm, I know you're with me. You'll keep me safe. if you'll comfort me and you'll give me the strength to endure the trial because I know when the testing is over, the trial is over, the storm is over, I will have you as my firm foundation, my rock with which to build your church upon. on your temple of truth. For we are your temple. And the more surrendered I am to your will and not my own, the more work you can do in the kingdom, because you can do it through me. Because I have a surrendered heart, a surrendered mind.

I am in a posture that is of total surrender to my lord and savior. Your will, not mine. You came to do the father's will and you only did what the father asked you to do. For you were a soldier obeying your orders. We are soldiers. You are in us. Therefore, we must take you to where you want to go. Speak words you want spoken and bring your truth to a dark world. How do we do it? How can we help them see you

when it's so dark in that tunnel, so lonely, there's so much misery, but yet you're there. So Jesus, I call out to you. I ask you today to remember I'm the head and not the tail, above and not beneath, the lender and not the borrower. I am empowered to prosper.

I'm a righteous servant unto the Lord. I am fearfully, beautifully, and wonderfully made, a daughter of the king.

I know you provide for the sheep of your pasture. So, I choose to rest on the promises found in your word. I choose to trust. I choose to have faith. And even though I can't see a way out, even though I can't see the promise in my life right now manifesting, I know it's there. I know it's there. And as I sit and wait to give birth to the promise, I call forth your strength so that I can endure. so that we can endure what's coming, the trials, the testing, the inevitable

darkness that comes to our doors as believers. Because when we follow Christ and not the world, we suffer. But it is in your strength and your will and your perfection, your perfected peace that we endure every storm, every trial, knowing that our suffering only lasts for a moment. Because you're with us and we will endure. We will make it through. And we will fight the good fight of faith because we have you, Jesus. And you're all we need. You're all we need. You're all we need. You are all that we need, Jesus. You're our light. You're our anchor. You're everything. And as long as we have you, we have it all. And I think that's the realization that you come to when you are going through a famine, a drought, the loss of a loved one, the loss of a job, the loss of your idea of how something should go, but yet it's not manifesting in that way. Other doors are opening as doors close that you try to open yourself. You now sit and wait on the door that Christ has for you, God has for you to walk through. And as you heal layer by layer, you get the ability to be still and wait and endure. You have patience and perseverance. You're strong. You're protected. You're loved. So, you sit and wait in a place of stillness, realizing that's where the power is. That's where the victory is. Is that you can be still in the middle of darkness, having a still mind, still emotions, resting on the promises found in God's word. knowing he's with you. And even if you can't see him, he's there. Call out to him. He's waiting. He will set you free. Free. He will get you through every trial and he will bring freedom to your door. For his blood is on the doorpost. Never forget that. He died so we could live and through him is abundant life. We need only to see it. We need only to see him. We need only to believe it. In the powerful name of Jesus, go forth this day and conquer. Victory is yours. Victory is yours. Victory is yours.
