Hello. Welcome to Reflective Hour with Tammy Toney-Butler. I'm your host. We all know who the host of this show is, and that's Christ. Holy Spirit, come have your way in this time that we have together. May they see you and not me. May they hear you and not me. May chains break and veils be lifted off so that they can see clearly and hear clearly with spiritual ears and spiritual eyesight. Strengthen them, oh God, as they sit quietly in the stillness and reflect, looking inward so that they can be transformed layer by layer. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Survival versus surrender.
It's in times of lack that we can often seek old ways to comfort us because we've been conditioned to live in survival mode
and make and force outcomes so So that we do not feel the uncomfortableness of the moment, the discomfort of the moment.
When we can't force something to happen and instead we sit still and blind trust, obeying and waiting on God to move. Waiting on a miracle. Waiting on a breakthrough. Waiting.
Not survival. but surrendered trust. Living with peace despite the lack.
Maybe you're waiting on healing. You're waiting on a financial breakthrough. You're waiting on a relationship to evolve. You're waiting. Maybe you're waiting to see your purpose. Where does God want you to go? Maybe you're waiting on an open door. You're just waiting, surrendered, trusting, and deciding that for the first time in your life, you're going to truly let go,
surrendering it all to Jesus, letting him have it all, saying, "I trust you, Aba Father. I trust you. I know that you have it. I know you're working even when I can't see it. And this time is different. I'm not going to force a door open. I'm not going to force an outcome. I'm just going to wait. which is crazy that I have the strength and power to wait to sit and reflect on everything that you've carried me through so far. I merely need to sit and praise you. Praise you in the valley. Praise you on the mountaintop. Praise you in the middle of the storm. praise. It's really that simple because I've decided to trust, which is really, really hard for a survivor, someone who's been victimized because you decide that you will never be controlled by anyone or anything again, and you will do anything. But then one day you realize you never really have control. God's in charge. Not you, not man, but God. But God. So you sit around in anticipation like a little child waiting on your father to move, waiting on him to act, blindly trusting, walking by faith and not by sight, and saying, "I trust you. you, Aba Father. Lord Jesus, I trust you. Holy Spirit, give me the strength that I need to just keep waiting and give me continued peace and joy while I wait. That shows me spiritual maturity, growth. You may not understand why you're in a season of waiting. You may not understand why certain people are being pruned out of your life. You may not understand why that door just hasn't quite opened yet,
but then you realize heavenly things are so far above you that you aren't really you don't really need to know. You don't have to know the end. you you just don't you just have to trust and know that God will take care of you. He will take care of you. He will be with you throughout it all. And when you come to that place of knowing, knowing he has you, knowing you won't drown,
knowing you won't sink deeper because you truly know he has you. And you're resting on the promises, on the rock. That sure foundation is seeing you through. No longer are you panicking, doing Google searches.
No longer do you have a spirit of worry, a spirit of fear. You've re rebuked all those and said, "Get behind me, Satan. I'm going to trust. I'm gonna be surrendered and live with a surrendered obedient heart posture instead of living in survival mode because my mind has been renewed. It's quiet. I have the mind of Christ, the heart of Christ. I've been transformed layer by layer. I've overcome. I'm whole. I'm ready. and I am assured of victory in Christ Jesus. It's when you get to this place that you're so grateful because you realize how far you've come. You can't do anything but sing praises to Elohim,
Jehovah Rafa, Jehovah Gyra, Jehovah Ni,
Yahweh. Everything he is is in his name. Faithful and true, steadfast and sure.
Steadfast and sure. Steadfast and sure. Hold tight, stay strong, rooted in the word, and know that in one moment, it's all going to change. The call's going to come. The money's going to come. Blessing after blessing, open door after open door because you've weathered the storm. You've relied upon your anchor, your sure foundation, and you've chosen trust. Faith over fear, and your love for our creator will see you through. You've evolved. You've strengthened.
and you've matured from milk to meat. Congratulations. You've made it. You fought the good fight of faith. You're still fighting every day, but yet you realize you have spiritual authority. You pl you fight from a place already of victory. You only need to show up. You only have to have the courage to show up, to stay strong, to fight the good fight of faith, knowing God has you. He'll never leave you nor forsake you. And he'll supply all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus.
